Won’t start, steering wheel won’t lock

My Focus won’t start and it appears to be a result of steering wheel not locking. I’ve had this issue before but was a able to “jiggle” the steering wheel to get it to lock. No such luck this time. Any help would be appreciated.

    I'm having the same problem and my brains completely fried.. any help would be great. Thanks!

    I admire your optimism. The OP made one single post in his whole Ford forum career, and that was 4 years ago. Wouldn't hold my breath for a response...

    If the steering lock has failed in the off position, get it replaced asap.  If it works again briefly it could get stuck on instead which would be a major pain to remove.  Always worth checking wiring first of course.
