Low speed judder on turn and acceleration after steering wheel refit

Hi guys new here. 

Today I removed the steering wheel of my 06 fiesta and replaced. When taking out for a drive I noticed severe juddering at low speed whilst turning/ accelerating. This doesn’t occur when braking or at higher speed cornering, just usually when pulling out of junctions etc.

The wheel itself isn’t vibrating it feels deeper inside the car something more severe. Removing the airbag required some ‘dry steering’ to get to the clip holes and this is the only explanation for what has happened, however I don’t see how this can be the reason.

With this lock down obviously seeing a garage is pretty much impossible now, so any ideas would be appreciated.
