2004 Ford Fusion immobiliser issue?

We had a mechanic today to fix a ball joint 

Job done, no issues we thought. Now though, the car doesn't start and we think he has somehow triggered  the immobiliser?

We have tried locking/unlocking the car but no luck

Any ideas?

    If you have an immobiliser issue the immobiliser lamp will flash rapidly followed by a 2 digit code when the ignition is turned on.

    The door locking and unlocking is not part of the immobiliser system.

    When you say "does not start" does that mean it does not crank, or does not fire ?

    Engine type, Petrol or Diesel ?
