P2338 fault code, knock sensor

Featured Replies

Cylinder #3 above knock threshold.

Thought I would try to replace the knock sensor but cannot find it anywhere and no information on the web.

Does the Mondeo 2005 TDCi Estate actually have one and if so where is it located so I can replace it?

That will be the cylinder 3 injector beyond the threshold. Sounds like a new/remanufactured injector required and coding in.

I thought it would probably be an injector but wanted to replace the knock sensor first.

Although I can buy a new one from eurocarparts I have no idea where on the engine the knock sensor is located.
