Brand new Fiesta - internal knocking?!

Featured Replies

Just bought a brand new 20 plate Fiesta ST Line.  It's done just shy of 200 miles.  When in idle and sat inside the car there's a noticeable knocking from the direction of the glove box.  It's obviously an engine noise, as if something is gently tapping against something else under the bonnet but it is on the nearside for sure.  Any ideas??

I would ask the dealership where you bought it from the same question, you don't expect faults on a brand new car and any that present themselves it's the dealerships responsibility to sort them out. What I'm saying is, take it back and get them to sort it out, if you can't because of the current situation, take a dated picture of the recorded mileage and contact them by phone and email detailing that the car has a fault, that way they can't fob you off and say you didn't report it to them.

Hi, yes it's booked in for Monday.  Things like this are such a shame, I don't expect to have to do this for a brand new car, it takes the edge off the new car feeling!
