turbo pressure release

Featured Replies

hi all,

ive just recently been driving the girlfriends 1L 125bhp ecoboost titanium x model and noticed that the turbo when lifting my foot off the accelerator was loud and because i’m a car guy i loved it and had to turn the radio down...

anyway i have a 123bhp ecoboost Zetec S and i haven’t really noticed the turbo whistle noise, now when i tried to listen out for it somewhere quiet i had the window down and heard it a few times and it was very faint my reason why the two are so different in decibels?? also when in first gear and revving up it dropped 1000RPM and sounded a bit tinny which i’ve never noticed before but heard it’s common🤷‍♂️

cheers
