Blower motor

Featured Replies

Hello there, newbie here,

i have a 2010 Mk7 1.4tdci, my blower motor has a mind of its own at the moment, sometimes it will come on and work for a minute or 2 then will either just stop or speed will fluctuate up and down as if you are winding the fan speed via the control? if i'm travelling home from work and the fan goes off, i leave as is, then after 10, 20 or 30 miles it will come on for a period, then off again! When working i can adjust speed up and down so think resistor pack is ok?

Had a fish about, removed pollen filter but still the same. i live in Cyprus, so i need this working now, but don't know where to go from here, looked at removal of motor but this looked way beyond my skills, obviously fuse is ok, 14.4v in and out, is there anyway of testing voltage through relay? or anyway of getting some lubricant to motor shaft?

Thanks in anticipation, Mick
