Hi

Head off, crankshaft position in TDC. Pictured here is the camshaft. The markings on the wheel have arrows. For reinstall, does anyone know for certain which direction those arrows point for TDC?

horizontally, vertically or is it in TDC with the locking pin in the hole? 

Any ideas,

    Hi,

        use a set of  timing pins or drills,  line holes up in crank sprocket flange 5mm drill, camshaft 8mm drill,

    and the fuel pump sprocket hub line up the two holes at the centre of the hub vertically.

    When the cam and crank shaft are locked the pistons are halfway down the bore not at tdc

    have a look at this link same engine

    This guy turns the engine via the camshaft not recomended, put the crankshaft pully bolt and use it to turn the engine clockwise.
