Orange spanner warning

Featured Replies

The orange spanner appeared on my dash this morning together with a message saying that an oil change was due and service required.   However, the car was serviced about 6 weeks ago, the oil is above the mark and looks to be pretty clean.   I've no doubt that when the car was serviced by Sandicliffe Ford they forgot to reset something.   I can't get in touch with them at the moment due to the virus problem.   Can anyone tell me if there is any danger of the car shutting down if I continue to drive it?

1. Turn on the ignition (not the engine)

2. Hold down the brake and accelerator for twenty seconds until the warning light goes off.

Thanks Clive.   That did the trick.   Much obliged.
