Heated Windscreens

Featured Replies

Hello

Does anyone know why the Heated Windscreen and rear Windscreen lights on the buttons (and functionality) would stop working all of a sudden? Whatever position I turn the dials to the orange lights still don't come on. This is in addition to the stop / start function that seems to no longer work (it's the original battery). I am using my car for very short journeys 5 times a week at the moment so perhaps this is draining the battery?

Cheers

Caroline

Heated front and back screens plus stop/start are all big power drainers so that on top of your original battery coupled with your short journeys point me In the direction of your battery, so first thing I’d do would be to have it checked and replaced if necessary.

Thanks for the advice

Bearing in mind that your battery is 8 years old, it's probably doing quite well.

I just changed the original 8 year old battery on my Focus, the heated seats and stop start stopped working in a similar fashion to yours, so that’s the place I would start.
