Electrical issues Fiesta 2010

Featured Replies

Hi, I've seen your posts about the car saying that the boot is open & it's not, it is possibly also draining the battery.

I've had lots of problems with the car, since purchase, its had a 2 new alternator, new battery, at least 4 mechanics, roadside recovery, trying to find out what was causing it, not starting,  (it was resolved for) now it seems due to the electrical side of things, I'm a bit concerned of the financial implications again, any ideas please

Thank you

The fiesta mk7 boot lock is likely the problem. It has a Microswitch built into it that either turns on the boot light or tells the car the boot is locked.

You could drop the back seat down and shut the boot to check the boot light goes out. Replacing the boot lock should fix the problem.
