Featured Replies

Has anybody out there had any problem with front electric windows mine have stopped working I have checked both motors and mechanisms With direct supply there fine changed the switch I have 12v in and out of the switch still no joy But when I operate the switch it works the central locking any help would be nice

Maybe worth checking earth straps as sometimes you can get odd faults like that...I had an escort years ago, every time you pressed the brake all the rear lights would flash like a disco...it was a bad earth.

Hope this helps.

Strange one, never heard of it myself. however a google search throws up all sorts !

Is there any history of the car having had any previous work carried out in that area, and by reading your post i understand the problem also occurs using the passenger window switch too ?

Had a look at my 2005 and the loom connector is on a connector on the A pillar, so if the same i would remove door card etc or whatever you have to do to get to switches and wiring - then carry out a contininuity check between the switch etc to the connector in the event one cable is open circuit ?
