Automatic lights

Featured Replies

I’ve recently bought a 15 plate zetec ecoboost and have noticed that my lights are on constantly when my car is on. I don’t have the automatic option on the dial so not sure how or if I can turn these off, can anyone help?

What are the lights set to?

Auto lights will turn off with the ignition, manual will stay on - and you should get an alarm if you open the door

Daytime running lights? If it’s only the fronts and no tail lights that’s all it is.

I have attached a picture of the light switch on a fiesta

Options are "off, side lights, main beam, auto" although obviously if you don't have the automatic headlight option in your car you won't have that on the switch, so this is where headlights are turned off

However if you have the DRL headlights (daytime running lights) with the white strip along the bottom of the headlights these are designed to stay on at all times and cannot be turned off

Hope this helps
