Jonro2009
I bet the house on the right has a lovely mould patch behind that Sky dish! The sat cable should've been looped at the top to prevent rain running down the wall! [emoji3] I didn't know that was why you often see the cables looped, every day's a school day!Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Jonro2009
Indeed, the left is private and the right is still council. So the house on the left, with the lighter coloured harling, is privately owned? The windows and roof look to be in better condition on the council house. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

Although the council one's roof could do with cleaning/new slates!
erictcleric
Councils will have a budget and a schedule for those kinds of updates to houses, private owners probably won't. Around here the council replaced all the roof slates and front garden walls a couple of years ago. So if you're buying a council house, wait until just after the maintenance schedule... That's true, my house is owned and was bought from the council in the late 80s, whereas my mother's is still council owned and in much better condition generally. Of course that's purely down to the fact I'd have to pay for repairs whereas she doesn't!
