Milkman
Either the brake pipe is fractured or the cylinder is leaking, it's not safe so I would suggest you take it back to where you bought it and get them to sort it, or better still, tell them it's not safe to drive and they have to recover it and repair. isetta
Don’t drive it, it is unsafe. If it’s a puddle it’s major.as this a private sale or from dealer. How long ago did you buy it? Have you got a breakdown cover. You might be able to call them out to at least tell you what’s wrong. Eg leaking wheel cylinder inside drum, broken/ rusted through steel brake pipe. Burst flexible rubber hose. Bodged repair. If you contacted dealer with photo of the actual faulty part and aa/rac report on the fault it might get action quicker. If a private sale then if he knew and he is a big aggresive bloke then, well it might not be easy
Milkman
The seller is responsible regardless of weather private or trade, doesn't matter how big they are, in stature or size. Did you go to the DVLA site and do a vehicle MOT check?, that will tell you the cars full MOT history, passes, fails and advisories.
