Front wiper intermittent fault

Hi guys, my partner has a mk7 Fiesta with a niggly wiper fault. It happened a few months ago briefly and happened again today. 

When she presses the button at the end of the stalk to wash/wipe the front windscreen nothing happened, no wipe and no sound from the washer pump. She then tried the back window which worked fine.    She then tried the front ones again and everything is working fine again as normal.

I'm thinking the wiper stalk but a second or third opinion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Graham

    I had this on mine too and it was the button at fault, a replacement stalk sorted the problem out 👍
