Ford Fiesta stereo swap

Featured Replies

I have a ford fiesta titanium 2010 with the stereo (first picture) but I would like to pull it out and put the Sony stereo in (2nd picture). Was wondering how easy would this be to do? Would i need a new display screen aswell and could I still connect it up to the steering wheel controls?

Thanks

You need a Sony stereo from a pre-facelift. The one you've posted is from a facelift so wont work.

Would it go straight in if I got a pre-facelift?

Do you want the whole stereo or just for it to have the Sony fascia, as you can just get the Sony fascia and connect to the current unit you have behind it, this is what i have done below

Yes I only want the Sony fascia, I just think they look a lot nicer, would it still work with the steering controls? I have volume controls on the left of the steering and cruise control on the right of the steering. So is it as simple as taking the old fascia off and connecting a Sony fascia on? Do I need a new display screen on anything? I'm not great with technology but I'm thinking if it's quite simple I may have a go at doing it myself.

Thanks

If you only want the fascia and not the slightly improved Sony sound then you can just swap the fascia yes. All the steering controls, bluetooth etc. will work as normal.

You'll be lucky to find a garage that's willing to take on this work, especially at this time.

Is pretty straightforward, i did mine myself, there are videos on youtube on how to do it, is just a few screws/clips and then it pulls out and one cable at the back
