Just brought Ford Fiesta - reversing sensors

Featured Replies

The model doesn't have them fitted as standard, it has the same radio display as my brothers which has them fitted.

can, I get this fitted and linked to the display and if so, what would the cost be?

The model is a 1.25 2017

Many thanks 1st time posting.

I think Ford dealers can fit parking sensors for about £300 (!) - maybe talk to your local dealer? Am guessing there must be cheaper ways to do it though...

Almost certain that the dealership will only fit the X-Vision ones, as mentioned these cost around 300.  They won't link up to the screen and are just the basic tone type.

If you're outside of warranty I wouldn't entertain them as they are ridiculously overpriced and not any better than the 20 quid ones I had on my Mazda 2 a few years ago.

When I bought my MK8 the dealership added them for free as part of the deal.  I found them a bit hit and miss personally.

I'd just find someone locally that I trusted to fit them and buy a set from Amazon.

Hi, had this car car nearly year, something I miss is the reversing camera. According to parts24.com the display unit is an F1BT-19B955-GB, can this unit accept a display via a cable connection from a camera?  If so, I read the car will need some sort of update from Ford or by a 3rd party.

Hi. If your screen is the 4.2 inch you have to forget it. If you have the 5 inch navi screen then you can. I have tried the same with my car and finally i did the job  fitting the big screen .

Then you'll need a forscan to activate the cameras function...

thanks, What's involved in fitting the bigger screen?

Many pieces that you can find easilly (second hand) as you live in Great Britain. See the pictures ...you will need the screen, the mounting bracket, the bigger trim cover and of course the camera with the trim pieces (if you put the factory camera). And don't forget the cables... It is a big job to do.
