Help With Manual Mirrors On Mk6

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a Fiesta mk6 with manual mirrors, however when we purchased it the little rubber boots that go over the mirror adjusters were no longer attached. I've been scratching my brain over how to refit these and I can only assume that i'm either being very stupid (always a possibility!) or i'm missing a part.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

Hello Matt, had the same problem with my Mk6, they kept coming off when adjusting the mirror's

If you look at the cover's there should be a plastic collar or similar on it at the opening, put the cover over the metal adjusting rod and the plastic collar fit's into the white section of the mirror, give it a slight twist to lock it into place

Hope this help's you out :)

Hi Mick,

Thanks for replying. I think this is where i'm going wrong then, no collars on mine at all just the rubber boots. Sounds like I will have to make a trip to the dealers to see if I can source them.

Thanks for confirming that I am indeed missing something and not just being stupid :)

Matt.

These are the bits off my old Mk4, not sure if they're exactly the same, but you can see the collars round the bottom.

If they are the same as the Mk6 ones, mine are now on ebay as the car was scrapped 6 months ago (end of shameless plug  )
