2008 smax cluster keeps going into diagnostic mode.

Featured Replies

Hi All

I'm sure this will have been answered somewhere on this forum. If you can help or point me the right direction i would be very grateful.

My 2008 smax cluster keeps going into diagnostic mode when i am driving, although its not having any impact on the car, its still drives well and everything else is working, can this fault be sorted out. Also my DAB stereo started to turn itself on and off before all this, so not sure if this is related. I have heard that the stereo has a feed from the ignition, and thats what is causing the stereo to turn on and off, as it thinks the cars is being turned off, could I just swap out the loom for a new one to fix that problem, or could it be the head unit is faulty and i need a new stereo.

Cheers

Phil
