Ford Fiesta Door Microswitch Problem

Featured Replies

Hi, my 07 Fiesta 2 doors passenger door randomly says its open when its not.  I believe its the microswitch on the latch but hear its a real pain to change.

Ive heard options on how to trick the car to think the doors closed all the time.  I was wondering how do you achieve this as its a annoying problem!  Or if theres a better option any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Apparently their built into the door latch assembly but can be unplugged to turn the light off and trick the ecu into thinking that the door is always closed

Would unplugging still require taking apart the door in the same way you would to replace???
