Aircon help/troubleshooting

Featured Replies

HI All.

My Wife's Fiesta Zetec 2010 model has an issue with the aircon not working.  A/C switch on no cold air.  I will detail below the things I have done already and would appreciate any advice what to check next?

1)  Checked a/c service port with a gauge meter which showed low refrigerant (although not empty) - No difference.

2) Regassed aircon with refrigerant to filled level. (checked next day and level was the same)

3) Changed the fuse in the engine bay for the AC (10 amp)  - No difference.

4) Checked that the AC clutch is engaging when AC button pressed (it is, can hear the click in engine bay)

5) Checked radiator fan is moving when AC is switched on (it is).

6) Changed/swapped the AC relay fuse in engine bay.

Low refrigerant can cause the air con not to work, get it topped if you have done this have you checked the pump is defiantly working not just the clutch engaging.
