rear diffuser and valance help

so im now looking at adding mods to my car for the first time and i noticed you can get rear diffusers and valance but are they the same thing or not im really confused?

    There the same thing mate, 

    Technically it is a valence which has a rear diffuser in the centre of it,

    The valence is like an extension which hangs low like a valence bed sheet instead of a fitted sheet the valence has a skirt where the fitted sheet doesn't.

    The diffuser then is a shaped section which channels air in a way which becomes beneficial for performance.

    So the valance diffuser is the same thing as the perticular valance has a rear diffuser built in to it.
