I have a 2019 focus st line x 1.5tdci with 16000 miles. engine has started to become noisy at start up and also when running, noise starts and fades away. Has anyone else had any issues with this engine. There are no faults or lights showing on car dash

    I have a 18 plate Cmax with the 1.5 tdci  which I presume is the same, done 67 k still lovely and smooth.

    I can only echo Pragmatix's comment ... until a few days ago I had a 2015 Focus with a 1.5 tdci and 93k on the clock.  So smooth passengers often expressed surprise the car was a diesel.  I'd have someone take a look at yours.
