My girlfriend is in the process of buying a 2002 Fiesta 1.4 Zetec. She is upgrading from 0.8L Daewoo Matiz and is worried that the Fiesta is going to cost her too much in petrol. Her Matiz does about 260ish miles per tank, and my 1998 Fiesta does about 300 miles per tank. I want to reassure her that her new car is going to be ok. Can someone who owns the same model tell me roughly how many miles they get to a tank of petrol? Thanks.

i have a 1.4 2006 plate ford fiesta zetec climate (im guessin you mean mk 6 2002) and its very good on fuel, wen i drive it hard i get 37 mpg wen i drive it like a angel i get about 54 mpg wen i drive noramlly i get about 43 mpg, hope this helps :)

It depends how you drive it.

Mine gets about 33.3 MPG, i generally drive small trips so constantly changing gear etc doesn't get me good efficiency.

I can get about 52mpg if i drive at about 50mph on massive journeys, which i get bored of after 5 min, so about 43mpg at an average of 70mph is about the most efficient ive ever had.

Generally i fill up every 2 weeks ish, which on an average tank is 280 miles max ( i run to just above the red with about 30miles left on the fuel, as the trip tells me).
