Wheel repairs

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm new here and was just wondering if anyone would be able to put me in touch with a wheel refurb specialist. I have a Mk6 fiesta flame with some old five spoke alloys I got from a friend and I have a buckle in one of the wheels. Was wondering if anyone would have one the same they would like to sell or to put me in touch with some one to fix the buckle.

Many thanks

Alex

Essex is a big range pal. I'm sure there's a fair few wheel refurb places near you. However, if a wheel is buckled, it's generally scrap. Mk6 alloys are cheap enough so will cost more to put straight (if it's possible in the first place) than to buy another wheel.

How badly is the wheel buckled and where is it buckled? Measure the full width of one of the good ones on the outside and again on the inside  between the inner edge of the bead and then measure the buckled one to determine how buckled it is, I had one that was one inch out but it came back perfectly with the aid of a 14lb sledge hammer.

There's WheelWorx and The Wheel Specialist in Colchester if you're over that way.  The 5 spokes are worthless though, be cheaper to buy another one!

Just seen these too...those tyres must be antique by now, P6000s and Marshall Matracs, what a blast from the past!
