Cannot use steering wheel buttons to answer or hang up calls using android auto sync 3

Featured Replies

When phone is not plugged in and it's just bluetooth buttons steering wheel buttons work with calls as expected. When phone is connected via cable and android auto can only answer or hang up calls using the sync 3 screen?

Following as I've noticed this too

I have just found the answer to this, Ford have stated this is not a sync issue but a Google issue so it will be up to Google to fix this.

Surely they all work together to produce the software?

Android auto is purely owned by Google and is used in multiple cars so I don't think Ford have a lot of input unfortunately

No doubt Ford wouldn't be that helpful anyway with Google given how useless they are at times with thier own software
