Number plate screws

Featured Replies

hey all,

So I put the ford performance plate brackets on my car and im pretty sufe I've rounded off the front right screw thread.

Any ideas on what I can do? Drill a larger hole? Put in a larger screw?

Use a small dob of hot glue in the hole and then put the screw in again before it fully hardens.

I did exactly the same thing. What I did was cut a small piece off a cable tie (make sure the cable tie fits in the screw hole!), about 1.5cm should be enough. Pop that in the hole and it makes it small enough for the screw to grip.

i just bodged it and made a small starter hole and screwed it back in just above the original hole but not enough so it looks out of line
