Ford Fiesta Mk 6 Centura LED daytime running lights

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiest Mk 6 - Centura.

This came originally with LED daytime running lights.  I bought the car a year ago and one of the bulbs is now much brighter than the other.  Is this normal?

If not where can I find instructions on how to change the bulbs - there's nothing in the owners manual etc.

Thanks!

Don’t know about yours but on my 2015 fiesta the handbook says if anything happens to the led daytime lights it needs the whole headlamp unit replacing. Are yours the type where they are bright when sidelights are off and go dimmer when sidelights switch on. I am wondering if it’s the dimmer circuit that is playing up . Do yours change when you turn lights on

I’m confident that none of the MK6’s came with LED daytime running lights, I expect these are after market, hence nothing in the hand book. Have you got a picture?

Isetta is correct, if an LED fails on any lights normally you have to replace the entire unit. Or if your brave then remove the PCB and solder a new LED to the board.

The car the op has is actually a mk7 this was a very limited edition, it has a separate led units (see photo)

I’m sure if you take the faulty unit out and take it to an auto electrician I’m sure they will be able to fix your issue

Mk numbers are confusing as they are different in different countries. Mk7 is often referred to as mk VI in other countries and parts lists including eBay.

How did you solve this issue? I'm having the same problem trying to find these DRL's..

Did the light ever get resolved as I have one of the running lights on my century not working

As has been said by others, the best corse of action is remove the defetive unit and give to an auto-electrician for them to test and if possible repair.

Just replaced the stock fog lights, with LED DRL lights. So much better than those dreadful OEM globes.🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘
