Stone chips and scratches on Mk4 Focus side skirts

Featured Replies

I've had my Mk4 Focus ST Line X less than a week, and already there are deep scratches and chips on the side skirts from grit on the roads being thrown up from the wheels. I've been driving really careful and on regular roads. I have enquired about Mudflaps, but Ford only make these for every other Focus except the ST Line.... Any solutions? 🤔🤔

These apparently fit

I've not tried them, I have the ST Line X and was looking for some mud flaps too, I've not pulled the trigger yet as I'm very uncomfortable about drilling holes in the arches!

It's got a picture which says it doesn't fit "ST" models, but the picture is of an ST-line. The body work is the same on the ST and ST-line, so I'd say they only fit the titanium and other models without the sport bumpers and skirts.

Yeah, you're spot on there. I looked at the photo as mine is an ST Line I thought they'd fit! I've just been out and looked at mine, it's the side skirt and the lower lip around the bumper that'll cause the problem!

I've contacted https://www.rallyflapz.co.uk/ to see if they're gonna do some for the MK4 soon, they've got them for the MK8 Fiesta, fingers crossed.

<EDIT>

Ford look they do some for the ST style cars, I'm sure this is an ST line, the wheels look right, although the skirts aren't body coloured.

DOH! It clearly says *NOT for ST-Line* 😂

I've messaged them a few times, they are planning to release some, but they had no date on when, last time I asked.

Go to a detailer or vinyl / graphics workshop and ask them to cover them in a clear stone chip vinyl.
