mk7 side door wont unlock or open

All other doors open except side door, it doesn't acknowledge the central locking, cant even open from the inside.

any advice please.

    If the central locking part of the lock is knackered it should open using the inner handle , taken the trim off and see if the handle moves the latch and try moving the lever with your hand , if the lever moves and the door opens I think you will find you need a new latch

    Got the same prob.  Have you sorted?

    Idea;  what about putting 12v on one of the contacts to see in lock working?  which contact?
