Best Audio upgrades for Fiesta MK 7.5? Anything better than the Sony Sat Nav Head unit? What aftermarket speakers to get?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a Zetec 1.25 with the Stock Head unit and Stock speakers. I like the USB/Bluetooth connectivity that the head unit has, however it lacks punch, and doesn't get that loud, especially at the front of the car (and when driving on the motorway).

Therefore, what audio upgrades do people recommend? My main requirements are:

  • Works with USB port in the car, along with the Steering Wheel controls
  • Better sound quality
  • A bonus would be better Head Unit functionality

On that note, is it worth pulling one of the Sony Sat Nav units from ebay and fitting that? What about speakers? Do I need an Amp? A sub? etc?

Thanks!

I have a Fiesta zetec 2014, 64 plate.
Is any code required for the steering wheel controls? Does this also work with the Emergency Assist (in case of accident etc) ??

Just curious about installation issues, in case i go ahead to get one of these, and i cant seem to find an online manual for this... does anyone happen to have a link to a pdf or something at all please??

My unit is not working, i have the ford welcome come on, but nothing else, and Ford kindly offered to replace it to a tune of around £700!!!

So, if this item is as easy to fit as it says on the tin, i might go for it!

Appreciate any insight!!! Thank you!!

No, but you'll need the wiring adapter. You can get one as part of the din adapter kit, or some of these cheap Chinese android units include one. Should be plug and play.

No. That's part of the original Ford system and cannot be integrated into any aftermarket unit.
