Ford fiesta st180 exhaust on 1.0

Featured Replies

So ive cut the backbox off of a st180 and cut my 1.0 backbox off and clamped it on with some exhaust paste. Will it be secure and is this okay to do or?

Yes it will be fine. Just leak check it with soapy water.

Don't see the point though the ST exhaust isn't exactly anything special.

Quite so. Most of the advantage of modified exhausts comes from an increased diameter just South of the turbine which allows the exhausting gases more room to expand faster so the spool up is quicker. Noise ain't horsepower!

I didnt do it for the noise or anything like that. It doesnt reallly make a big difference. It just looks so much better with the st exhaust and diffuser.
