Despite the fact it probably wouldn't fit very well, you'd need a huge amount of parts in addition to the ST170 engine alone. The Getrag 6-speed gearbox for a start (plus the other associated bits - DMF etc), the Black Oak ECU, full wiring loom, uprated (heavily uprated) suspension to cope with the additional weight, cat, exhaust ... you get the idea. It'd be cheaper by a long way to simply buy an ST170, but if you want to try it, I would suggest finding someone who's extremely talented at such conversions. However, I am not wholly convinced it'd go in at all without a lot of serious modification. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bradders88 Posted April 20, 2010 Author Share Posted April 20, 2010 but they do a 1.8 diesel in this model the block is the same size as a 2lt isnt it? the moding isnt a problem or the loom, any ideas where i could get all this stuff from? engine wiring loom gearbox ect.?
