Android Auto; why?

Turn it on and it stops the other USB port from sending data so unless my music is on the phone which has nowhere near the  runtime  of my ipod , nor yet the storage, I lose music.

I can navigate fine with the Ford maps and telephone using Bluetooth so the only thing I can see it doing is using Maps for live traffic. Very occasionally, that would be useful but otherwise, I cannot see the point. What am I missing here?

Beats me.  I agree.

Likewise Ford Pass on my telephone. Couldn't find the local dealer any faster than Google which I had to use when it locked up and appears to have no functions at all. In the car it does nothing and keeps pleading  inoperability. Another piece of useless fluff unless I am much mistaken. I Pass.
