Although nearly ideal, the car lacked a rear view camera so I bought one secondhand for £65 and made up a wiring loom to get from the tailgate to the  front of the car.  I fitted that bit today, cable reaches to the sill where it will connect to a second lead going into the APIM. It is always a bit traumatic pulling a new car apart as any mark will stick out like a sore thumb but I decided to do a dry run to see if I could get into the APIM connector. Job went well and I will be able to get to it in five minutes tomorrow when the second loom is made up. Once it is fitted, of course it will need a bit of Forscannning to enable it and then it will be finished and I will have to leave it well alone until the next service!
