Mk8 fiesta low speed knocking noise

Featured Replies

My 2018 Mk8 fiesta St-line has had a low speed knocking sound on uneven roa surfaces for 18 months, dealership have no answer or solution and don’t seem to care, drop links have been checked and changed and top mounts inspected, anyone have any idea of where to possibly check next?

I have seen issues with the engine mount ( the upper right engine mount ) to make a knocking noise on uneven roads , being this mount a hydraulic one when it starts to fail it makes a knock often mistaken to a failing shock absorber knock, check the mount for any oil leaks, check if the engine is laying completely horizontal under the bonnet or slightly inclined to the right.

worth checking mate 🙂

also the anti-roll bar rubber bushings worth checking for any cracks or damage
