Engine Oil Pressure Low

Featured Replies

I have a 2019 Ford Fiesta 1.5 TDCI with just over 4000 miles on the clock

I drive 30 mins to work and same back and at least once a day the warning saying Engine Oil Pressure Low

shows on the screen for 2 to 3 seconds only then disappears. Apart from this warning the car drives ok and does not go into limp mode.

Today for the first time the red oil can symbol also appeared then simultaneously extinguished

I have checked the dipstick and there is oil on the stick so not leaking out or broken pipes.

The first service is not due until next June

Hopefully someone knows what is causing this

Any advise is welcome before i take it back to the dealers under the guarantee

Thankyou

Paul

I would just get it booked in asap incase it is low oil pressure as that could cause engine damage. But most likely is a faulty oil pressure switch.
