Rare stolen 2010 parts, please watch out for

Featured Replies

Hi all, my beloved 2010 Fiesta Titanium was stolen from Coventry this week. I actually think I know who did it, two suspicious guys were around the car earlier and I even photographed them! Then the car was nicked.

Anyway, the car was very rare top spec 2010 (Ford demonstrator) and so am asking for you guys to keep a look out if any rare 2010 parts appear for sale anywhere please. These include:

  • 2010 Sony radio head unit
  • Titanium alloys
  • Full leather heated seats
  • Also uniquely for a 2010 titanium I fitted the ESP switch which was not factory fit.
  • Genuine boot protector (not rare but not standard)

I know it’s all a long shot, but if anyone does see these parts come available please let me know. And if you know where I should be looking too, would appreciate it. Thanks.

Have you given the photos to the police?   I feel for you mate; I know exactly how you feel.  Had mine stolen recently.

Thanks Bob, yes crime report has details of the car and these two guys I saw. Facebook has been able to name one of them, so we’ll see if it leads to anything.

Probably in a shipping container by now and on its way to some foreign destination.

Why are people stealing Titanium's now?  I owned a Focus Titanium with rare options (also ex demo) for over 3 years and never once thought anyone would steal it!

Also had a Fiesta ST around the same time and did expect that to get nicked or damaged at some point, made a point of not keeping anything in it that I'd be sad to lose (sat nav, tools etc).

Mk7 full leather interior is worth about £300, 16" multispokes with decent tyres worth about £400.  Not worth nicking to sell as parts.  Could be used to repair a write off in the same colour, but even the newest prefacelifts are too old to bother with that now, wouldn't be enough profit in it.  Can't be used for fuel thefts as you wouldn't even fit the tanks in the boot...and it's a little too obvious to put them on the back seat!  Can't be sold whole here as it'll be immediately picked up when the new owner tries to insure it even if the plates are changed and they don't check the VIN, too much risk of getting caught.  So we can only assume they're being stolen to sell abroad...so which country is full of Titaniums?  And why aren't they setting their sights a bit higher if they're not paying for them!?

Let's hope the soandso gets his comeuppance.
