telephone connection

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I' ve just bought my son a 2007 fiesta style 5 door for him to learn to drive in, I have lots of question about this type of vehicle which I will unload on you guy's in due course but firstly I would like to asked for advice on how or what do I need to do to activate the telephone button and get a connection or is the button there just to  fill in the space for some other device in the future. Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Don

If the button isn't there then you won't have the Bluetooth module fitted. It's easier (and most likely just as cheap!) to get an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth already incorporated than to try and retrofit it to your current unit. The standard unit isn't anything special anyway...

hi many thanks for your input, do you have any suggestion as to which unit i should get and are they eay to remove the original and install the new one? Also there is a phone button there when i press it it mutes the radio.

thanks

It sound like you might already have bluetooth.   Have you tried to connect a phone?

If you press the green answer button and it just mutes the stereo you don't have Bluetooth fitted (or the module has failed but thats kind of unlikely).

I bought an android touch screen unit designed to fit straight into my car without the need for a fascia adapter. You can of course get a double din fascia adapter and fit whatever aftermarket radio you want then.
