Trouble with Bluetooth/USB/AUX

Featured Replies

Hello.

I recently bought a used Fiesta, from 2008. It has a bluetooth module and USB/AUX connections.

Unfortunately, USB plug is broken (bent pins).

When using Bluetooth, phone connects normally, I can talk without a problem.

However, when using the AUX input, everything is quite normal apart from the fact that after about 3-5 minutes audio stops and all I hear is LOUD crackling from the speakers, regardless of the volume setting.

Video below.

Radio works fine, apart from the poor signal, but I have a second antenna coming in, because this one has seen some wear and tear.

My first guess, being someone that works with electronics, is that a capacitor in the bluetooth module stops working correctly when up to working temperature.

Has anyone had anything similar happen to them, should I replace the Bluetooth module? I will be getting a second USB port, so I can even do the update of the firmware to have Bluetooth audio capability.

Thanks in advance. 🙂
