2019 Fiesta Vignal Rain Sensing Wiper

Featured Replies

hi guys,

Just asking for a little help again please.

Rain sensing wiper on my 2019 Fiesta Vignale

Emanual says 1st position on stalk I.e. top position, but on mine that is always on

manual says to check its enabled in the vehicle settings and yes its ticked.

I've looked through the electronic manual to no avail

I've scoured the Internet to no avail

Could someone please let me know which position for the stalk lever for rain sensing.

Many thanks again

Mine works on the first position. Try altering the wiper control on the stalk.

Thanks Andy, yes done that, but will try again, at least you've confirmed its definitely that position, as I thought I was going mad.

Cheers for your help

You’re welcome![emoji3]

First position as said, frequency or sensitivity is set on the stalk also.

Yeah, I got fed up second guessing mine and just unticked the box in the menu, so it reverts to normal intermittent. At least it's predictable.

I've found all rain sensing wipers are a bit hit and miss.

Hi, Auto setting is the intermittent setting on the switch, one push up.

The wipers should give one wipe to confirm.

The intermittent timer switch adjusts sensitivity on auto wipers, highest to the top lowest to the bottom. I find one off the top to be best

Also, wiper blade performance is very crucial to the performance of auto wipers, make sure they clear the area of screen completely as any water left on the sensor will make the system carry on wiping.

Also, remember that the passenger wiper blade clears the rain sensor, not the driver's.

If it's still not working after checking all of above then the vehicle needs to go in as you have either a configuration issue (the option has not been switched on in the factory) or an issue with the sensor.

Thanks everyone for your kind help
