Gavin Greenhough
I am getting the message "Move shifter to P" every time I turn off the ignition. The gearbox is in P already though and the P light on the dashboard flashes. I then have to push the gear lever forwards gently then there is a slight clicking noise and then the message goes and the P light goes solid. It is really irritating because if I don't do this the electrics do not fully turn off and I have flattened the battery several times. My code reader does not give any gearbox errors although it says it cannot see the Instrument and Headlight control modules which is another problem I have. I have WD'd all around the gearshift lever box and all electrical connectors look OK although I have not unplugged and inspected the pins. Any ideas anyone, I am totally stuck on this one. Gordon Randall
Hi Gavin, I have this - just started intermittently this week. Major issue because the car won't lock. Did you find a solution? Gordon
