2020 Focus Temp gauge problem

Featured Replies

Hi all please help, I’ve just bought my 2020 Focus 2ltr Titanium X from a car supermarket and absolutely love it but I’ve just noticed a couple of problems and it’s only done 1000 miles. I’ve rang the local Ford dealership and they want over £100 to put it on a diagnostic machine, the car’s running well and would rather save the money if these things are normal.
The Stop / Start isn’t working and the temp gauge takes about 20 miles to start to move and still hasn’t reached the middle of the gauge after 50 mile. Thanks in advance.

Why does the dealer want to charge you for something that should be covered by the  warranty.? Stop start issue is probably down to low battery charge , a very common problem and normal on many cars nowadays.

The 2.0l EcoBlue engine is slow to get to full temperature, mine takes about 20 miles, 50 miles doesn't sound right.

My stop start rarely works, this time of year with lots of electrical load can't help.
