2013 fiesta, loud wheel squealing

Featured Replies

2 weeks ago had the car serviced. No problem with brakes, no noise etc, perfectly fine.  Was told I needed front brake pads and discs changed, so they were changed.

Since then small squeal from front drivers wheels after few minutes, wife only just told me.  Then today couple minutes into drive intermittent squeal, noticeably worse when driving slow or turning, turned into constant loud squeal, stops when you touch the brake.  Stop car for a few minutes, drive off and sound returns a few hundred metres down the road, starts off low then a loud constant squeal.

I went to wife's work to see it.  Drove along a carriage way in 5th gear, once hit roundabout and dropped to second and slowed, sound noticeable to me, especially when going around roundabout to head back.  Heading back in 5th not really noticeable until I reached her work and went around roundabout, went up a side street on an incline and sound now a loud squeal and constant, turned left and went down another side street, a decline, slowly with foot of gas and squeal was very very loud.  Pressing the brake it stopped completing.  Stop the car for a minute, pull off, no sound for a few hundred metres, then starts again.

What would it be?  Pads or discs not done correctly? Or something else?

Can't be bedding in, the squeal in deafening, bedding in is a small squeal when braking.  Squeal is when driving, starts intermittently then full on blown squeal

I'd be inclined to take it back to whoever fitted the brakes.

Would it be within reason to rock up at the garage at 8am when it opens and demand it be looked at?
