1.4Tdci Loud Tapping &some Smoke

i became aware of a loud tapping from the engine so looked under bonnet & saw a small amount of smoke come from underneath the airbox.i have removed the airbox and the smoke seems to be coming from 1 of the injectors also aruond the injectors isfull of oily muck.iam assuming that all these problems are probably being caused by a leak on the injector seals or unions.the car is a 2004 1.4 tdci fiesta with 80000 recorded miles but isuspect maybe more in reality. couldanyone confirm this or tell me if i am barking up the wrong tree thanks.

    its a common fault for the injector seals to need replaceing on the 1.4 tdci.
