Yesterday I sent a query to '[email protected]'. The query no doubt a lot of you will have asked, when are they going to release Sync 3.4 update and F9 maps for the Fiesta seeing as Focus and as I believe Kuga have had for several weeks.

This morning I received the reply below.

We are happy to investigate this matter further on your behalf but in order to do so, please can you confirm or provide the following information for our records;

 

Please could you confirm if you are the registered owner of the vehicle?

Please can you provide the vehicle registration and VIN/chassis number?

Do you lease the vehicle? If so through which company?

Please can you provide a copy of your V5 document for our records? 

Do you use your vehicle for business purposes?

Current vehicle mileage?

Has this issue been looked at or booked into a Ford Dealership? If so when and where?

Did you purchase this vehicle new or used?

When and where did you purchase the vehicle?

Has the vehicle been serviced to schedule?

Do you normally use a Ford Dealership for servicing?

If yes, please specify which Ford Dealership. 

Have you had any Ford vehicles prior to this one? If so how many new or used?

Please provide your full postal address?

Could you please provide your preferred contact number?

 

Fifteen questions I cannot see the point of to answer my one question. After sending all the above no doubt in five days I will get an answer of 'We hope to be releasing it shortly'.

Thats their standard response when they don't have an answer. If they treat you the same as many of us on here you'll have a struggle to get a definitive answer out of them. Don't waste upur time.

I have 3.4 and F9, I upgraded to f9 this morning and have had 3.4 for a while now  or were you saying you want an upgrade FROM these versions?

I too have been running both for some time, you’ll just have to be patient as it seems a gradual rollout.

Well that is good to hear that it is finally being rolled out for the Fiesta. I shall just have to be patient but it would nice to have it soon as it will give me something to do. Installing it during lockdown.

I asked the dealer about updates especially automated ones via the inbuilt modem. Ford are operating a slow rollout of the update to Fiesta Models. The update will be available via auto updates (no faffing with USB sticks if you have onboard modem) but the dealer wasn't sure about how cars were selected for the update and exactly when it would be available to all. I was just told to check whether upgrades are available using my VIN on the Ford update site and when it is, ensure auto updates are enabled in the car.

No updates are showing yet but I am sure they will do sooner or later.
