2010 MK 4 Mondeo 1.8tdci not starting

Featured Replies

Hi, last  week when the cold came i went to start the mondeo but wouldnt start, i eventually got it started and had the same issue the next couple of days but still managed to get it started. The strange thing is even though i had trouble starting after once i switched it off i could start it again with no issues.

However by the end of the week it wouldn't start what so ever, green flag came out tried to boost the battery and jump start but it would not start. They had no clue!!!! my partner has checked all the sensors in the engine bay, all fuses with no issues. 3 out of 4 glow plugs were dead so we have replaced them and tried again but still will not start. We have checked the fuel injectors, fuel lines, and pump as well as all air filter too, and run an obd dongle though with no fault codes showing. We have checked the voltage of the battery but the battery isnt faulty.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the issues is please? As we can get it turning but it isnt sparking/firing even though the engine is getting fuel?
