Ford Fiesta mk8 1.5 tdci 120ps dpf issues

Featured Replies

Greetings. For the last month the check engine light keeps coming up. I went the car to the dealer service a month ago and they said the dpf filter was up to 75% and they performed a static regenaration of the filter. 10 days later the check engine light comes up again. Long story short one month since the static regeneration he told me that the engine light was on because the car tried to perform a regenaration 8 times and it was interrupted and that it needed a regeneration again. They say it is normal but i find it weird. During this time i did 380km in short journeys and the 120km on a motorway. Does anyone else have similar issues? Thanks!

Anyone that drives a diesel on short journeys/ around town all the time will have this issue. You need to get it on a decent run more often it seems.
