Traction control warning light comes on when I press the window demister. How do I fix?

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Galaxy MK2 2007 1.8tdci. When I drive I have no problems but as soon as I turn on the window demister button it triggers the traction control warning light. A car with 2 skid marks behind it, it's yellow and it stays on.

I have a fault code DTC: C07488 - I believe it means a communication problem. Loss of CANS COMS on multimedia BUS???

Mechanic says he is really confused by it and ended up passing the MOT (think he couldn't be bothered).

Just for your info I also have a powertrain fault which is related the turbo and doesn't indicate any relation to this problem.

Any ideas on how to fix this bizarre issue???
